Some customers may comment on any of the following conditions:
• | Extended engine crank times |
• | Having to have the vehicle jump-started |
• | Dead battery |
• | Low Voltage indicator light on |

GM Engineering is interesting in obtaining any battery from a vehicle in which the diagnosis has lead to a battery replacement.
Be sure to document the following information on the repair order:
• | Verify that the VIN, mileage and customer's concern are accurately documented. |
• | Inspect the battery for leaking, and/or a cracked, broken or damaged case. Note findings on the repair order. |
• | Use J 42000 Battery Tester to test the battery. Document the code provided from the tester. |
