Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1548556 Size: SH
  1. Remove the drive side knee bolster.
  2. Locate the defrost actuator (1).
  3. Disconnect the defrost actuator electrical connector (2).

    4. Object Number: 1548540 Size: SH
  4. Remove the defrost actuator bolts/screws (4).
  5. Remove the defrost actuator (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1548540 Size: SH
  1. Install the defrost actuator (3).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the defrost actuator bolts/screws (4) and tighten to 1.2 N·m (11 lb in) .

    3. Object Number: 1548556 Size: SH
  3. Connect the defrost actuator electrical connector (2).
  4. Install the driver side knee bolster.
  5. Re-calibrate the actuators. Refer to Actuator Recalibration .
