Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1548556 Size: SH
  1. Remove the driver side knee bolster.
  2. Locate the mode actuator (4).
  3. Disconnect the mode actuator electrical connector (3).

    4. Object Number: 1548536 Size: SH
  4. Remove the mode actuator bolts/screws (1).
  5. Remove the mode actuator (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1548536 Size: SH
  1. Install the mode actuator (2).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the mode actuator bolts/screws (1) and tighten to 1.2 N·m (11 lb in) .

    3. Object Number: 1548556 Size: SH
  3. Connect the mode actuator electrical connector (3).
  4. Install the driver side knee bolster.
  5. Re-calibrate the actuators. Refer to Actuator Recalibration .
