Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
Disconnect the heater inlet and outlet hoses from the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipes using
J-38185
pliers .
Drain the coolant system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
Remove the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip nut (1).
Remove the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip (1).
Remove the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe (2) clip nut (1).
Remove the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip (1).
Remove the auxiliary inlet/outlet pipe (2) clip nut (1).
Using the
J-38185
pliers , disconnect the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet hoses (2) at the rear of the vehicle.
Remove the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet hose assembly.
Installation Procedure
Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet hoses (2) to the rear of the vehicle.
Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, release the hose clamp retention locks.
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the auxiliary inlet/outlet pipe (2) clip nut (1) and tighten to
10 N·m (89 lb in)
.
Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip (1).
Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe (2) clip nut (1) and tighten to
10 N·m (89 lb in)
.
Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip (1).
Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip nut (1) and tighten to
10 N·m (89 lb in)
.
Lower the vehicle.
Install the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipe clip nut (1) and tighten to
10 N·m (89 lb in)
.
Install the heater inlet and outlet hoses to the auxiliary heater inlet/outlet pipes.
Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver, release the hose clamp retention locks.
Fill the coolant system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
