Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1675736 Size: SH
  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (1) from the intake manifold tuning valve.
  3. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1557831 Size: SH
  4. Remove the intake manifold tuning valve bolts.
  5. Remove the intake manifold tuning valve.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1580024 Size: SH
  1. Apply lubricate GM P/N 1051344 (Canadian P/N 993037) to the nose of the valve blade (1).

    2. Object Number: 1557831 Size: SH
  2. Install the intake manifold tuning valve.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the intake manifold tuning valve bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in) .
  4. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1675736 Size: SH
  5. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (1) to the intake manifold tuning valve.
  6. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
