Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

    2. Object Number: 1544756 Size: SH
  2. Remove the transaxle brace (4). Refer to Transmission Brace Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 289471 Size: SH
  3. Remove the torque converter cover bolts.
  4. Remove the torque converter cover.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 289471 Size: SH
  1. Install the torque converter cover.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the torque converter cover bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in) .

    3. Object Number: 1544756 Size: SH
  3. Install the transaxle brace (4). Refer to Transmission Brace Replacement .
  4. Lower the vehicle.
