Removal Procedure

    Important: By removing the power sliding door (PSD) 15A fuse, the low current logic power for both the LH and RH power sliding door modules (PSDM) will be interrupted and both PSDs will be inoperative.

  1. If equipped with a power sliding door, disable the PSD system by removing the PSD 15A fuse from the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block.
  2. Open the sliding rear door.

  3. Remove the sliding door opening weatherstrip from the sliding door pinch-weld flange.
  4. Clean all adhesive from the pinch-weld flange.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1480623 Size: SH

    Important: A mastic/sealer/glue is inside of the new sliding door opening weatherstrip. If you are using a new sliding door opening weatherstrip, DO NOT use weatherstrip adhesive.

    If you are using the old sliding door weatherstrip, use weatherstrip adhesive.

  1. Install the sliding door opening weatherstrip to the sliding door pinchweld flange.
  2. Align the locator dot to the upper front corner and upper rear corners of the sliding door pinch-weld flange:
    3. • The pink dot indicates a long wheel base.
    • The yellow dot indicates a short wheel base.
  3. Install the remainder of the sliding door opening weatherstrip.
  4. Roll the weatherstrip onto the flange as indicated by directional arrows, beginning at the weatherstrip joint.
  5. Ensure that the weatherstrip corners are fully seated.
  6. DO NOT stretch the front door opening weatherstrip during the installation.

  7. Join the loose end of the front door opening weatherstrip to the seated end.

    8. Important: Removing the tear strip is designed to pull the inner lip of the sliding door opening weatherstrip out over the trim. Spoon the sliding door opening weatherstrip in order to complete the installation as needed.

    Inspect the sliding door opening weatherstrip for creases or wrinkles.

  8. Pull the end of the tear strip from the joint along the entire length of the sliding door opening weatherstrip.

    9. Important: By installing the 15A fuse, the low current logic power will be restored to both the LH and RH PSDMs and the PSDs will be operational. However, both PSDMs will have to learn the full open and full closed positions of the PSD. Refer to Power Sliding Door (PSD) Closes and Re-Opens .

  9. If equipped with a power sliding door, enable the PSD system by installing the PSD 15A fuse into the I/P fuse block.
