Auxiliary Blower Motor Replacement Without E59

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the inflator air valve opening cover. Refer to Inflator Air Valve Opening Cover Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 734336 Size: SH
  2. Remove the screws from the hinged cover.
  3. Remove the cover from the rear trim panel.
  4. Release the tabs and pull out the trim panel.
  5. Disconnect the auxiliary blower motor electrical connector.
  6. Disconnect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connector.
  7. Disconnect the auxiliary air temperature actuator electrical connector.

    8. Object Number: 691600 Size: SH
  8. Remove the auxiliary blower motor mounting screws.
  9. Remove the auxiliary blower motor from the blower motor housing.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 691600 Size: SH
  1. Install the auxiliary blower motor to the blower motor housing.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the auxiliary blower motor mounting screws and tighten to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in) .
  3. Connect the auxiliary air temperature actuator electrical connector.
  4. Connect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connector.
  5. Connect the auxiliary blower motor electrical connector.

    6. Object Number: 734336 Size: SH
  6. Install the trim panel and press firmly into the tabs.
  7. Align the cover and fasten the screws and tighten to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in) .
  8. Install the inflator air valve opening cover. Refer to Inflator Air Valve Opening Cover Replacement .

Auxiliary Blower Motor Replacement With E59

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 812955 Size: SH
  1. Remove the left lower quarter trim panel. Refer to Inflator Air Valve Opening Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the power sliding door actuator and bracket. Sliding Door Lock Actuator Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the auxiliary blower motor electrical connector.
  4. Disconnect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connector.
  5. Remove the lower auxiliary air distribution duct bolts and retainers.
  6. Remove the lower auxiliary air distribution duct.

    7. Note: The auxiliary blower motor must be removed with the blower motor housing.

  7. Remove the auxiliary blower motor housing screws.

  8. Lift the auxiliary blower motor housing and remove from the HVAC module assembly.

    9. Object Number: 691600 Size: SH
  9. Remove the auxiliary blower motor mounting screws.
  10. Remove the auxiliary blower motor from the blower motor housing.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 691600 Size: SH
  1. Install the auxiliary blower motor to the blower motor housing.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the auxiliary blower motor mounting screws and tighten to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in) .

    3. Object Number: 882516 Size: SH
  3. Install the blower motor housing to the auxiliary HVAC module assembly.

    4. Align the rear tabs of the blower motor housing to the HVAC module.

  4. Install the auxiliary blower motor housing screws and tighten to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in) .

    5. Object Number: 812955 Size: SH
  5. Install the lower auxiliary air distribution duct.
  6. Install the lower auxiliary air distribution retainers.
  7. Install the lower auxiliary air distribution ducts bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in) .
  8. Connect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connector.
  9. Connect the auxiliary blower motor electrical connector.
  10. Install the left lower quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
