Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 315272  Size: SH

    Important: 

       • Front door jamb switches are located in the front door latches. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement in Doors.
       • Always use a new sliding door jamb switch. Do not reuse or try to adjust a used switch.
       • When a new sliding door jamb switch is installed and the sliding door is closed for the first time, the plunger is forced into the sleeve and automatically adjusts the sliding door jamb switch for the sliding door.

  1. Open the sliding door screw from the sliding door jamb switch bracket.
  2. Remove the sliding door jamb switch from the pillar.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sliding door jamb switch.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector to the sliding door jamb switch.

  2. Object Number: 315272  Size: SH
  3. Install the sliding door jamb switch to the pillar.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the screw to the sliding door jamb switch bracket.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  7. Close the sliding door in order to reset the sliding door jamb switch.
