Horizontal aim is not adjustable on this vehicle. Vehicle
aim is done by an adjusting nut located on the rear of the fog lamp.
Preparation
| • | Ensure that all components are back in their original place if
any service has been performed on the vehicle. |
| • | Place the vehicle on a level surface. |
| • | Stop all other work on the vehicle. |
| • | Fill the fuel tank to half full. |
| • | If the vehicle is intended for hauling heavy loads or to tow a
trailer, simulate these loads. |
Aiming Procedure
- Move the vehicle to a
level area and park the vehicle approximately 7.6 m (25 ft)
away from the target screen.
- Measure from the center of the fog lamp to the ground line.
- Turn the fog lamps ON.
Ensure that the top of the fog beam image on the target screen is approximately
101.6 mm (4 in) below the center of the fog lamp lens height
(8).
- Use the adjusting nut on the rear of the fog lamp in order to
adjust the fog lamp as needed.
