J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip and Garnish Trim Clip Remover

1. Remove the overhead console from the video entertainment system. Refer to VES Overhead Console Support Bracket Replacement .
2. Insert J 38778 between the video entertainment support bracket (1) and the video screen assembly (2) at the pin locations. Pull downward in order to break the pins.



3. Disconnect the video screen electrical connectors (1, 4, 5).

2. Install the video screen to the support bracket. Hold the video screen in place while installing the overhead console.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install 4 center screws to the video screen and console.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

4. Install the video entertainment system overhead console. Refer to VES Overhead Console Support Bracket Replacement .
