The SIR scan tool data definitions contain a brief description of all SIR
related parameters available on the scan tool. The parameters that are
available on the scan tool are listed below in alphabetical order.
8-Digit GM Part Number: The scan tool displays the GM part
number that is stored within the SDM memory.
ADS A/D: The scan tool displays the auxiliary discriminating
sensor (ADS) signal input into the SDM. The scan tool will always display 20 volts
because the ADS monitoring is disabled.
ADS Monitoring: The scan tool displays whether the ADS monitoring
is enabled or disabled.
Calibration ID: The scan tool displays the calibration ID,
which is the check sum of the SDM read only memory contents.
Component Serial Number: The scan tool displays the SDM component
serial number that is stored within the SDM.
Driver Frontal Loop: The scan tool displays whether the inflatable
restraint steering wheel module deployment loop is enabled or disabled.
Driver Side Belt Status: The scan tool displays whether the
driver seat belt is buckled or unbuckled.
Driver Side Impact Sensor ID: The scan tool displays the driver
SIS ID that is sent to the SDM when the ignition is turned ON.
Driver Side Loop: The scan tool displays whether the inflatable
restraint side impact module-LF deployment loop is enabled or disabled.
Ignition Voltage: The scan tool displays 0-20 volts.
This is the system voltage measured by the SDM between the ignition input and ground.
Julian Date of Build: This number represents the day of the
year that the module was built.
Lamp in Current State: The scan tool displays the number of
cycles that the AIR BAG indicator has been turned ON.
Passenger Frontal Loop: The scan tool displays whether the
inflatable restraint I/P module deployment loop is enabled or disabled.
Passenger Side Impact Sensor ID: The scan tool displays the
passenger SIS ID that is sent to the SDM when the ignition is turned ON.
Passenger Side Loop: The scan tool displays whether the inflatable
restraint side impact module-RF deployment loop is enabled or disabled.
PROM ID: The scan tool displays the programmable read-only
memory (PROM) ID.
Warning Lamp ON/OFF Timer: The scan tool displays the time,
in minutes, that the AIR BAG indicator has been turned ON.
Year Module Built: The scan tool displays what year the module
was built.
