Subject:Rattle Noise Left Rear Suspension

Models:.

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

This PI is regarding a rear suspension noise on 2003 and 2004 Ventures, Silhouettes, and Montanas. During 2003, the rear parking brake cable retainer was repositioned to eliminate rattle concerns. The parking brake cable retainer is positioned directly above the rear trailing arm axle tie rod and in some circumstance, contact may occur.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If you have a customer with this scenario, just bend the retainer bracket to allow for more clearance.
