Whistle From Windshield Area (Install Tape)

Some customers may comment on a buzz, moan or a sound similar to that which occurs when the wind blows across the top of a bottle. This condition usually happens at highway speeds with temperatures below 4° C (40° F) and more pronounced if there is a good cross wind.

Under the primary seal weatherstrip on the "A" pillar, there is a seam 100 mm (4 in) to 130 mm (5 in) up from the top of the fender. This seam may cause a disturbance in the wind going up the pillar which creates the noise.

Pull the primary weatherstrip back and push the duct tape, 75 mm (3 in) long, under the reveal molding and over the seam on the driver's side "A" pillar. Refer to the illustration above.
