The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers may report of inaccurate fuel gage reading. When filling tank, fuel fill will shut off, but indicator will not say full. All instances have involved short wheel base vans with long wheelbase float arms on the fuel sender. This configuration will result in an indication of 3/4 full when the tank is completely full.

 

Recommendation/Instructions:

To remedy the situation install a short wheel base float arm on the fuel sender.

 

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
