Camshaft Removal for Chevrolet Venture Ext. 1998


    Object Number: 54981 Size: SH
  1. Remove the camshaft thrust plate screws.
  2. Remove the camshaft thrust plate.

    3. Object Number: 55018 Size: SH

    Notice: All camshaft journals are the same diameter, so care must be used in removing or installing the camshaft to avoid damage to the camshaft bearings.

  3. Complete the following steps in order to remove the camshaft:
    4. 3.1. Install a large screwdriver in the camshaft bolt hole. Do not damage the threads.
    3.2. Carefully rotate and pull the camshaft out of the camshaft bearings.
