Subject: | New Electrical Relay Labor Operation Numbers |
Models: | 2001 and Prior Passenger Cars and Trucks |
Effective October 1, 2000, all electrical relay labor operation numbers will be moved to the Electrical section in order to better align labor operation assignments. This change will be reflected in the October, 2000 Labor Time Guide Update bulletin. This change will be similar to the wiring and/or connector repair labor operation number format
Currently, there are over 140 different relay labor operation numbers being used for all vehicle lines. These labor operation numbers are scattered through the Labor Time Guide into as many as nine different sections.
Replacement times for all relays will be in a range of 0.1 to 0.4 hours. These times will also include diagnostic time.
The following "Note:" and "Inc:" will be included in the Labor Time Guide Update bulletin as well as in all the Labor Time Guides:
NOTE: Actual time from 0.1 to 0.4 hours spent to perform the repair is to be entered as "Labor Hours" for the following system labor operations. Any additional time for component R&R to gain access, or repair time greater than 0.4 hours, must be submitted as "Other Labor Hours" and requires appropriate authorization.
Inc: Diagnosis time.
Listed below are the new labor operation numbers for the relay systems. We no longer will use the relay names, but call them out by the systems in which they are located.
