The power steering fluid level may be inspected when the engine is hot or cold.
The power steering fluid level should be between the FULL/COLD mark and the FULL/HOT mark on the fluid level indicator according to the power steering fluid temperature. Hot power steering fluid is approximately 80°C (170°F).
Notice: When adding fluid or making a complete fluid change, always use the proper power steering fluid. Failure to use the proper fluid will cause hose and seal damage and fluid leaks.
Important: If the power steering fluid is excessively low, purge the air from the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
