Steering Wheel Kickback for Chevrolet Venture Ext. 2000

Air exists in the power steering system.

Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

The steering column intermediate shaft is loose.

Repair or replace the steering column intermediate shaft. Refer to Lower/Upper Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.

The steering gear is loose.

Tighten the steering gear bolts to specification. Refer to Steering Gear Replacement .

The tie rod end(s) are loose.

Repair or replace the tie rod ends as necessary. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement .

The wheel bearing/hub is loose.

Repair or replace the wheel bearing/hub. Refer to Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement In Front Suspension.

There is excessive play in the steering.
