Do the front fog lamps operate properly?

Go to Step 3

Go to Fog Lamps Inoperative

1. Install a scan tool.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. With a scan tool, turn the lamp on using the IP special functions, wow the instrument cluster.
4. Observe the front fog lamp indicator on the instrument cluster (IPC) during this function.

Does the front fog lamp indicator illuminate when performing this function?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 4

Using a test lamp check for a poor connection or open in the signal circuit of the front fog lamp. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is a poor connection or open present?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair the poor connection or open in the signal circuit of the front fog lamp. Refer to Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 7

Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

Important: Perform the set up procedure for the IP.
