Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2002 🢒 Venture Ext. 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls - 3.4L 🢒 Secondary Air Injection Pump Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the left front fender liner. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  4. Loosen the pinch clamp on the secondary air injection (AIR) exhaust pipe hose .

    5. Object Number: 529919 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the AIR exhaust hose from the AIR pump.
  6. Disconnect the AIR pump electrical connector.
  7. Remove the AIR pump from the bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the AIR pump to the rubber retainers.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  2. Connect the AIR pump electrical connector.
  3. Lightly lubricate the inner edge of the AIR exhaust hose.
  4. Attach the AIR exhaust hose to the AIR pump outlet port.
  5. Place the pinch clamp around the outlet port/exhaust hose connection.
  6. Install the left front fender liner. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
