Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the IP accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    2. Object Number: 787393 Size: SH
  2. Remove the HVAC control module retaining screws.
  3. Pull the HVAC control module straight out from the instrument panel.
  4. Disconnect the HVAC control module electrical connectors.
  5. Remove the HVAC control module.

Installation Procedure
  1. Connect the HVAC control module electrical connectors.
  2. Install the HVAC control module into instrument panel opening.

    3. Object Number: 787393 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the HVAC control module retaining screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  4. Install the IP accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
