Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the washer solvent from the washer solvent container.
  2. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  3. Disconnect the wiper motor electrical harness from the washer solvent container and position aside.

  4. Object Number: 512031  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the front washer pump electrical connector.
  6. Disconnect the rear washer pump electrical connector if equipped.
  7. Disconnect the front washer pump hose.
  8. Disconnect the rear washer pump hose if equipped.
  9. Remove the washer solvent container screws.
  10. Remove the washer solvent container from the right inner fender.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 512031  Size: SH
  1. Position the washer solvent container to the right inner fender.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the washer solvent container screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Connect the rear washer pump hose if equipped.
  6. Connect the front washer pump hose.
  7. Connect the rear washer pump electrical connector if equipped.
  8. Connect the front washer pump electrical connector.
  9. Install the wiper motor electrical harness to the washer solvent container.
  10. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  11. Fill the washer solvent container with washer solvent.
