Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 787735 Size: SH
  1. Remove the forward overhead console cover.
  2. Remove the screws holding the VES bracket assembly to the roof. Refer to VES Overhead Console Replacement

    3. Object Number: 787742 Size: SH
  3. Pull the headliner down and slide the bracket forward to release the rear locking tabs.

    4. Object Number: 787745 Size: SH
  4. Remove the bracket from the headliner.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 787745 Size: SH
  1. Install the bracket between the roof and the headliner.

    2. Object Number: 787742 Size: SH
  2. Slide the bracket inward until the locking tab and screw holes align.

    3. Object Number: 787740 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the screws into the VES bracket.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the VES overhead console. Refer to VES Overhead Console Replacement .

  5. Install the forward overhead console cover.
