Removal Procedure
- Use a heat gun to heat
the rear bumper fascia reflectors. Hold the heat gun 152 mm (6 in)
from the surface.
- Use a circular motion for 30 seconds when applying heat
to the surface.
Important: Be careful not to scratch paint with the flat-bladed tool.
- Use a flat-bladed tool to peel the rear bumper fascia reflectors from
the rear bumper fascia surface.
- Use a lint free cloth and Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naphtha
or a 50/50 mixure by volume of isopropyl alchohol and water to
clean the area.
Installation Procedure
- Warm the rear bumper fascia
with a heat lamp or heat gun to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).
Important: DO NOT touch the adhesive backing.
- Peel the backing from the front end of the rear bumper fascia reflectors.
- Press the rear bumper fascia reflectors to the rear fascia while
continuing to remove the backing.
- Hand roll the rear bumper fascia reflectors to the rear fascia
in order to ensure proper adhesion.
