Removal Procedure
- Remove the sliding door inner trim panel. Refer to
Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the sliding door water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Remove the sliding door latch screws.
- When the sliding door rear lock is loose, unhook the lock rod
from the sliding door rear lock.
- Remove the sliding door rear lock from
the sliding door.
Installation Procedure
- Install the sliding door rear lock to the sliding door.
- Hook the lock rod to the sliding door rear lock.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the sliding door rear lock screws according to the specified
fastener tightening sequence.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the sliding door water deflector. Refer to

- Install the sliding door inner trim panel. Refer to
