When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Door key will not lock, unlock all doors from outside.

The ability to lock or unlock ALL doors at the same time with a key from the outside (central locking) has changed for the '03 model year. This feature, as described in the owners manual on page 2-9 under Doors and Locks, is NOT available unless the vehicle is equipped with regular production option (RPO) UA6-Content Theft. Content Theft may be included in RPO PDY (Chevrolet) or PDC (Pontiac or Oldsmobile) when checking vehicle options listed on the Service Parts identification label located on the inside of the glove box door.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
