This bulletin is being issued to inform dealers that a change was made to the front seat belt system in production on October 7, 2002 for the above listed vehicles. This change was made to give better insertion efforts and improve customer satisfaction with the seat belt operation. Both the retractor side and the buckle side of the system were changed.
Seat belt extenders are now available for the new design seat belt system. If a customer has a vehicle built after 10/7/02 and needs a seat belt extender, use the new part numbers listed below.
