Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement.
  2. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement.
  3. Remove the trim cover from the upper steering column. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector at the base of the steering column.

    5. Object Number: 473414 Size: SH
  5. Pull the theft deterrent control module from the ignition lock cylinder housing.
  6. Remove the electrical connector and wires from the steering column.
  7. Remove the theft deterrent control module from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the theft deterrent control module to the vehicle.
  2. Install the electrical connector and wires to the column.

    3. Object Number: 473414 Size: SH
  3. Slide the theft deterrent control module over the ignition lock cylinder housing.
  4. Connect the electrical connector at the base to the steering column.
  5. Install the trim cover to the upper steering column. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.
  6. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement.
  7. Install the I/P knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement.
  8. Program the theft deterrent system. Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components.
  9. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
