Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

  1. Close the power sliding door (PSD).
  2. Turn the PSD ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
  3. Apply the brake and shift the transmission out of park.
  4. Press a PSD OPEN/CLOSE switch.

Does the PSD remain closed and the alarm sound a tone when the OPEN/CLOSE switch is pressed?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Remove the B/U LAMP 10A fuse.
  2. Apply the brake and shift the transmission out of park.
  3. Attempt to open the PSD using an OPEN/CLOSE switch.

Does the PSD open?

Go to Step 4

Test the park signal circuit for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Replace the transaxle range switch. Refer to Park/Neutral Position Switch Replacement in Automatic Transaxle.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Replace the rear side door actuator control module. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement, setup, and programming.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Re-initialize the PSD and operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
