Grille Replacement Pontiac

1. Open and support the hood.



2. Remove the hood latch linkage from the secondary hood latch.



3. Remove the bolts from the grille.
4. Remove the grille from the hood.

1. Position the grille center hook into the hood center slot.
2. Align the grille to the hood.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the bolts to the center of the grille.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).




4. Install the hood latch linkage to the secondary hood latch.
5. Close the hood.

Grille Replacement Chevrolet

1. Open and support the hood.
2. Remove the front hood seal. Refer to Hood Front Seal Replacement in Body Front End.



3. Remove the hood latch linkage from the secondary hood latch.



4. Remove the hood latch linkage from the secondary hood latch.



5. Remove the bolts from the center of the grille.



6. Remove the grille from the hood.

1. Position the grille center hook into the hood center slot.
2. Align the grille to the hood.

7. Install the front hood seal. Refer to Hood Front Seal Replacement in Body Front End.
8. Close the hood.
