Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1263858 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly and the intake air tube.

    3. Object Number: 1263859 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the coolant hose from the throttle body.
  4. Disconnect the main throttle idle actuator (MTIA) electrical connector.
  5. Disconnect the throttle cables from the throttle body and bracket.
  6. Remove the throttle body retaining nut and the throttle cable bracket.
  7. Disconnect the main throttle idle actuator (MTIA) electrical connector.
  8. Remove the throttle body bolt and the nuts.
  9. Remove the throttle body.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1263859 Size: SH
  1. Install the throttle body assembly to the intake manifold.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the throttle body retaining nuts and the bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the throttle body retaining nuts and the bolt to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  3. Install the throttle body retaining nut and the throttle cable bracket.
  4. Connect the throttle cable to throttle body and bracket.
  5. Connect the main throttle idle actuator (MTIA) electrical connector.
  6. Connect the coolant hoses.

  7. Install the intake air tube and the air cleaner assembly.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
