1. Turn ON the ignition.
2. Check fuse EF17.

Is the fuse blown?

1. Repair the ashtray lamp illumination feed for a short to ground.
2. Replace the fuse if necessary.

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK

1. Remove the ashtray lamp from its socket.
2. Turn ON the ignition.
3. Check the voltage at the ashtray lamp positive terminal (PU wire).

Is the voltage equal to the specified value?

11-14 V

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Repair the open circuit between fuse EF17 and the ashtray lamp.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

--

Connect an ohmmeter between ground and the negative terminal at the ashtray lamp.

Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

0 ohms

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Repair the open ground circuit for the ashtray lamp.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Replace the ashtray lamp bulb.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK
