Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1281146  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the drain hoses.
  4. Remove the strap.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  6. Remove the bolts.
  7. Remove the motor.

  9. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  10. Remove the strap.
  11. Remove the motor control module.

  12. Object Number: 1281148  Size: SH
  13. Remove the bolts.
  14. Remove the sunroof housing from the vehicle.
  15. Notice: Some vehicles equipped with sunroofs utilize drain tubes, routed through the upper body pillars, to prevent water from entering the vehicle. Use care not to damage the drain tubes, otherwise, damage to the interior of the vehicle may occur.

  16. Remove the drain channel.
  17. Remove the sunshade.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1281148  Size: SH
  1. Install the sunshade.
  2. Install the drain channel.
  3. Install the sunroof housing into the vehicle.
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Install the bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof housing bolts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  7. Install the motor control module.
  8. Install the strap.
  9. Connect the electrical connector.

  10. Object Number: 1281146  Size: SH
  11. Install the motor.
  12. Install the bolts.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the motor bolts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  14. Connect the electrical connector.
  15. Install the strap.
  16. Install the drain hoses.
  17. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  18. Connect the negative battery cable.
