Inspect the HEATING MAT EF30 fuse.

Is the fuse open?

Go to Step 3

  1. Test for a short circuit and repair if necessary.
  2. Replace the HEATING MAT EF30 fuse.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Use a voltmeter to test the voltage at terminal 5 of both the left and the right heated seat switch.

Does the voltmeter indicate the specified value?

11-14V

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Repair the open circuit between the HEATING MAT EF30 fuse and terminal 5 of the heated seat switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

  1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  2. Turn the heated seat switch of the inoperative seat ON.
  3. Use the voltmeter to test the voltage at terminal 2 of the heated seat switch.

Does the voltmeter indicate the specified value?

11-14V

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Replace the heated seat switch. Refer to Heated Seat Switch Replacement.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  2. Turn the heated seat switch of the inoperative seat ON.
  3. Use the voltmeter to test the voltage at terminal 2 of the inoperative heated seat.

Does the voltmeter indicate the specified value?

11-14V

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 9

Repair the open circuit between terminal 2 of the heated seat switch connector and terminal 2 of the heated seat connector.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

  1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  2. Turn the heated seat switch of the inoperative seat ON.
  3. Use the voltmeter to test the voltage at terminal 2 of the heated seat.

Does the voltmeter indicate the specified value?

11-14V

Go to Step 12

Replace the heated seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.
