Disassembly Procedure

    Object Number: 1280149 Size: SH
  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the pressure relief valve.
  4. Clean the valve seat area.

Assembly Procedure

    Object Number: 1280149 Size: SH
  1. Lubricate the O-ring of the new polyalkalene glycol (PAG) oil.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the new valve.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the valve to 17 N·m (12 lb ft).

  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Evacuate and recharge the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
