Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1280160 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the glove box. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  3. Remove console extension.
  4. Remove air distribution connector tube (2).
  5. Remove the lower cover of heater/air distribution case assembly.

    6. Object Number: 1280161 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the connector (1) to coolant temperature sensor.
  7. Remove coolant temperature sensor (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1280161 Size: SH
  1. Install the coolant temperature sensor (2).
  2. Connect the connector (1) to coolant temperature sensor.

    3. Object Number: 1280160 Size: SH
  3. Install the lower cover of heater/air distribution case assembly.
  4. Install the air distribution connector tube (2).
  5. Install the console extension.
  6. Install the glove box. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
