Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1280159 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the driver knee bolster or lower cover.
  3. Disconnet the connecting rod from the mode control door actuator.
  4. Disconnect the connector to the mode control door actuator.
  5. Remove the 3 screws that secure the mode control door actuator to the heater/air distributor case.
  6. Remove the mode control door actuator by gently tapping the actuator.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1280159 Size: SH
  1. Install the mode control door actuator.
  2. Install the 3 screws that secure the mode control door actuator to the heater/air distributor case.
  3. Connect the connector to the mode control door actuator.
  4. Install the connecting rod of the mode control door actuator.
  5. Install the driver's knee bolster or lower cover.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
