  3. Turn ON the ignition.

Does the chime work?

Repair the open circuit between terminal 2 of S204 and terminal 1 of the chime module.

Is the repair complete?

Inspect the warning chime fuse F16.

Is fuse F16 open?

Go to Step 6

  1. Inspect for a short circuit and repair if necessary.
  2. Replace the fuse.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Turn ON the ignition switch.
  2. Measure the voltage at fuse F16.

Is the voltage equal to the specified value?

11-14 V

Repair the open power supply circuit for fuse F16.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
  2. Disconnect the chime module connector.
  3. Measure the resistance between terminal 8 of the chime module and fuse F16.

Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

0 ohms

Go to Step 10

Repair the open circuit between terminal 8 of the chime module and fuse F16.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

With the chime module connector disconnected, measure the resistance between terminal 5 of the chime module and ground.

Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

0 ohms

Go to Step 12

Repair the open circuit between terminal 5 of the chime module and ground.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Replace the chime module.

Is the repair complete?
