Tools Required
    • DW330-010-01 Rear Coil Spring Compressor (LH) or Equivalent (1)
    • DW330-010-01 Rear Coil Spring Compressor (RH) or Equivalent (1)

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1265579 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. When lifting the vehicle with a body hoist, it will be necessary to support the rear axle with adjustable jack stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Compress the spring with the DW330-010-01 and DW330-010-01 .

    3. Object Number: 1265548 Size: SH
  3. Remove the rear shock absorber lower mounting bolt.
  4. Remove the rear shock absorber upper mounting nut and washer.
  5. Remove the rear shock absorber from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1265548 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear shock absorber to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the rear shock absorber upper mounting nut and washer.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear shock absorber lower mounting nut.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).
