Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air filter housing bolts and the air filter.
3. Remove the air intake tube from the throttle body.



4. Remove the serpentine accessory drive belt. Refer to Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement .
5. Disconnect the harness connector from the back of the generator.
6. Remove the bracket bolt at the power steering oil pressure line.
7. Remove the support bracket bolt.
8. Remove the air inlet duct bolts and the air inlet duct.



9. Remove the battery harness connector nut and washer from the generator.
10. Remove the nut and the washers which hold the generator lower bracket-to-generator bolt.
11. Carefully remove the generator.

1. Carefully install the generator.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the nut and the washers which hold the generator lower bracket-to-generator bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

3. Install the battery harness connector nut and washer on the generator.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 12 N·m (106 lb in).




4. Install the air inlet duct bolts and the air inlet duct.

Tighten
Tighten the inlet duct bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

5. Install the support bracket bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the support bracket bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

6. Install the bracket bolt at the power steering oil pressure line.

Tighten
Tighten the bracket bolt to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

7. Connect the harness connector to the back of the generator.
8. Install the serpentine accessory drive belt. Refer to Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement .



9. Install the air intake tube onto the throttle body.
10. Install the air filter housing bolts and the air filter.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
