Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Recover the refrigerant. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
- Remove the radiator. Refer to
Radiator Replacement
.
- Remove the 2 nuts on the air conditioning (A/C) pipe line flanges on both sides of the condenser.
- Remove the O-rings and discard them.
- Remove the 2 condenser-retaining nuts.
- Remove the condenser.
Installation Procedure
- Install the condenser to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the 2 condenser-retaining nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the condenser retaining nuts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
- Install new O-ring seals to the A/C pipes on both sides of the condenser.
- Install the 2 nuts to the A/C pipe flanges.
Tighten
• | Tighten the discharge hose flange nut to 16 N·m (12 lb ft). |
• | Tighten the drier flange nut to 14 N·m (10 lb ft). |
- Install the radiator. Refer to
Radiator Replacement
.
- Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
