  1. Disconnect the A/C compressor magnetic clutch connector.
  2. Turn ON the ignition.
  3. Turn ON the A/C.
  4. Measure the voltage between terminal 1 of the A/C compressor magnetic clutch connector and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

11-14 V

Go to Step 2

Go to Step 5

Measure the resistance between terminal 2 and ground.

Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

0 ohms

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Repair the open circuit between terminal 2 of the A/C compressor magnetic clutch and ground.

Did you complete the repair?

System OK

Repair the A/C compressor magnetic clutch or replace the compressor assembly.

Did you complete the repair?

--

System OK

Check the fuse EF24.

Is the fuse open?

--

Go to Step 6

Repair the short circuit between fuse EF24 and terminal 1 of the A/C compressor magnetic clutch connector.

Did you complete the repair?

System OK

  1. Turn ON the ignition.
  2. Turn ON the A/C.
  3. Using the test lamp, test terminal 86 and terminal 85 of the A/C compressor clutch.

Dose the test lamp illuminate?

--

Go to Step 9

Repair the open circuit in the power supply circuit including fuse F17 and the A/C compressor relay.

Did you complete the repair?

--

System OK

  1. Disconnect the engine control module (ECM) connector.
  2. Measure the resistance between terminal K29 (MR-140)/A15 (ITMS-6F)/41(SIRIUS D4) of the ECM and terminal 85 of the A/C compressor relay.

Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

0 ohms

Go to Step 11

Go to Step 10

Repair the open circuit between terminal 85 of the A/C compressor relay and the specific terminal of the ECM.

Did you complete the repair?

Replace the ECM.

Is the replacement complete?
