Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1265543 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Slide the cable eyelet off the post on the mode door lever (under the left side of I/P) and unsnap the clip that secures the mode door control cable.
  3. Slide the cable eyelet off the post on the temperature door lever, under the right side of instrument panel (I/P), and unsnap the clip that secures the temperature control cable.

  4. Remove the heating and ventilation control (HVC) controller from the I/P by pushing back the side of the controller.

    5. Object Number: 1279781 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  6. Remove the temperature control cable and mode control cable.
  7. Remove the controller assembly.
  8. Remove and replace the temperature control cable or mode control cable as required.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1279781 Size: SH
  1. Install the temperature control cable and mode control cable.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors.

    3. Object Number: 1279776 Size: SH
  3. Install the HVC controller into the I/P.

    4. Object Number: 1265543 Size: SH
  4. Install the cable eyelet to the post on the temperature door level, under the right side of the I/P, and snap the clip that secures the temperature control cable.
  5. Install the cable eyelet to the post on the mode door lever, under the left side of the I/P, and snap the clip that secure the mode door control cable.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
