Tools Required

    • J 21867 Pressure Gage
    • J 36648-A Adapter

    Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Remove the front, right-hand wheel well splash shield.
  2. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the adapter J 36648-A (KM-135) in place of the oil pressure switch.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the adapter to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  4. Connect the pressure gage J 21867 (KM-498-B) to the adapter.
  5. Start the engine and check the oil pressure at idle speed and engine temperature of 80°C (176°F). The minimum oil pressure should be 30 kPa (8.88 psi).
  6. Turn the engine OFF and remove the oil pressure gage and adapter.
