Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1280589 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the wiper arm assembly. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
  3. Remove the air inlet grill.
  4. Remove the bolts and washer that secure the wiper arm linkage to the motor drive shaft.

    5. Object Number: 1280586 Size: SH
  5. Pry the wiper arm linkage off the motor drive shaft.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  7. Remove the bolts and nut.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1280586 Size: SH
  1. Install the bolts and nuts.
  2. Connect the electrical connector.
  3. Install the wiper arm linkage onto the motor drive shafts.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1280589 Size: SH
  4. Install the bolts and washer

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts and washer to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the air inlet grill.
  6. Install the wiper arm assembly. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
