Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1280902 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) lower cover.

    3. Object Number: 1308685 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts and the immobilizer control unit (ICU).
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ICU.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1280902 Size: SH
  1. Install the I/P lower cover.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1308685 Size: SH
  2. Install the ICU and the bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 4N·m (35 lb in).

    Important: After replacing the ICU, re-authorize the keys using the key coding procedure. Refer to Programming Additional Keys .

  3. Connect the electrical connectors to the ICU.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
  5. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
