Removal Procedure

Important: Place a drip pan under the hoses to catch the fluid that will run out of the lines.

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1255929  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Notice: Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
  4. Remove the oil cooler outlet pipe bolt from the lower right side of the radiator.
  5. Remove the oil cooler outlet pipe bracket bolt.

  6. Object Number: 1255930  Size: SH
  7. Remove the oil cooler outlet pipe bolt from the transaxle side.
  8. Remove the oil cooler outlet pipe assembly.

  9. Object Number: 1255931  Size: SH
  10. Remove the oil cooler inlet pipe bolt from the lower left side of the radiator.

  11. Object Number: 1255932  Size: SH
  12. Remove the oil cooler inlet pipe bolt from the transaxle side.
  13. Remove the oil cooler inlet pipe assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1255952  Size: SH
  1. Install the oil cooler inlet pipe assembly and the bolts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the oil cooler inlet pipe bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1255953  Size: SH
  3. Install the oil cooler outlet pipe assembly and the bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the oil cooler inlet pipe bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  5. Refill the transaxle fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level Inspection .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
