Engine Mount Replacement Right Side

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1263236  Size: SH

    Notice: Broken engine mountings can cause misalignment of certain drive-train components. Misalignment of drive-train components causes eventual destruction of the drive-train components.

    If one engine mount breaks, the rest of the engine mounts will have increased stress put on them. This could cause the rest of the engine mounts to break.

  1. Remove the air filter housing bolts.
  2. Remove the air filter housing assembly.

    Notice: When raising or supporting the engine for any reason, do not use a jack under the oil pan, any sheet metal, or crankshaft balancer. Jacking against the oil pan may cause it to crack or break.

  4. Support the engine assembly using the EN 47519 .

  5. Object Number: 1263608  Size: SH
  6. Remove the reaction upper rod and the reaction upper rod bracket bolts.
  7. Remove the reaction upper rod and the reaction upper rod bracket.

  9. Remove the engine mount bracket retaining bolt/nuts.
  10. Remove the engine mount bracket.

  11. Object Number: 1263612  Size: SH

    Notice: Do not use belt dressing on the drive belt. Belt dressing causes the breakdown of the composition of the drive belt. Failure to follow this recommendation will damage the drive belt.

  12. Remove the serpentine accessory drive belt. Refer to Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement .
  13. Remove the front timing belt cover bolts and the front timing belt cover.

  15. Align the crankshaft pulley timing mark with the pointer, and the camshaft gears with the timing marks on the rear cover, by turning the crankshaft gear bolt.
  16. Loosen the timing belt automatic tensioner bolt.
  17. Turn the hex-key tab to relieve the belt tension.
  18. Remove the timing belt.

  20. Remove the timing belt idler pulley bolt/nut.
  21. Remove the timing belt idler pulleys.

  22. Object Number: 1263617  Size: SH
  23. Remove the engine mount retaining bolts.
  24. Remove the engine mount.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1263617  Size: SH
  1. Install the engine mount.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the engine mount retaining bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount attaching bolts to 55 N·m (41 lb ft).

  5. Install the timing belt idler pulleys.
  6. Install the timing belt idler pulley bolt/nut.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the idler pulley bolt/nut to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Install the timing belt.
  9. Turn the hex-key tab to tighten the belt tension.
  10. Tighten the timing belt automatic tensioner bolt.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the timing belt automatic tensioner bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  12. Install the front timing belt cover bolts and the front timing belt cover.
  13. Install the serpentine accessory drive belt. Refer to Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement .

  14. Object Number: 1263610  Size: SH
  15. Install the engine mount bracket.
  16. Install the engine mount bracket retaining bolt/nuts.
  17. Tighten
    Tighten the bracket retaining bolt/nuts to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1263608  Size: SH
  18. Install the reaction upper rod and the reaction upper rod bracket.
  19. Install the reaction upper rod and the reaction upper rod bracket bolts.
  20. Tighten
    Tighten the reaction upper rod bracket bolts to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).

  21. Remove the EN 47519 .

  22. Object Number: 1263236  Size: SH
  23. Install the air filter housing assembly.
  24. Install the air filter housing bolts.
