Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1280518 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the sun visors and the sun visor supports from the headliner. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  3. Remove the left and the right windshield pillar trim panels. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
  4. Remove the bolts and the seat belt anchors from the left and the right upper center pillar trim panels.
  5. Disconnect the top of the left and the right upper center pillar trim panels. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Remove the left and the right rear quarter upper trim panels. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. Remove the interior courtesy lamp and the map lamp.

  8. Remove the sunroof molding.
  9. Disconnect the top of the left and the right door opening weatherstrip.
  10. Remove the plastic retaining clips in the headliner on the driver side.
  11. Remove the passenger assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement .
  12. Remove the clips.
  13. Remove the formed headliner through the tailgate.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1281151 Size: SH
  1. Install the formed headliner through the tailgate.
  2. Install the clips.
  3. Install the passenger assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement .
  4. Install the plastic retaining clips in the headliner on the driver side.
  5. Connect the top of the left and the right door opening weatherstrip.
  6. Install the sunroof molding.

  7. Install the interior courtesy lamp and the map lamp.
  8. Install the left and the right rear quarter upper trim panels. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  9. Connect the top of the left and the right upper center pillar trim panels. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  10. Install the bolts and the seat belt anchors from the left and the right upper center pillar trim panels.
  11. Install the left and the right windshield pillar trim panels. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
  12. Install the sun visors and the sun visor supports from the headliner. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  13. Connect the negative battery cable.
